Small Engine Service Coordinator


Sandberg Implement, Inc., a Honda Premiere Dealership for Honda Motorcycles, ATVs, Side-By-Sides and Power Equipment, is seeking a Service Coordinator responsible for day to day operations of our small engine repair shop. Duties include service customer interaction, writing repair orders, tracking repair progress, and reporting on the performance of the small engine shop. The Service Coordinator is responsible for maintaining service related customer relationships, coordinating with service technicians on customer and internal work orders, completing manufacture warranty documentation and claims, and the daily operation of the shop. The position requires excellent customer service skills, and the basic mechanical understanding of powersports and power equipment products. Manufacture brands supported include Honda Motorcycles, Honda Power Equipment, Stihl products, Grasshopper mowers, Kubota mowers, Briggs and Stratton Engines, Kohler Engines, Kawasaki Engines, and warranty work on several other brands.

Sandberg Implement provides manufacturer specific training. Wage is dependant on experience and qualifications. Benefits include paid time off, group health insurance, 401K with contribution matching and a profit sharing plan.

Basic requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and handle loads up to 70 pounds

  • Must have a valid drivers licence

  • Must have excellent customer service skills

  • Basic computer skills - email, Microsoft Office, etc. 

Duties Include:

  • Customer relationship management

  • Service work assessment

  • Maintaining efficient shop production

  • Documenting work to be completed

  • Documenting manufacture warranty 

  • Scheduling customer and internal work 

  • Other projects and duties as assigned

  • Maintaining a safe working environment

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers arriving with equipment needing service

  • Loading and unloading equipment for service

  • Assessing equipment needing repair and writing accurate repair orders

  • Washing customer and internal equipment prior to service and before delivery

  • Coordinating with customers on needed repairs

  • Preparing accurate work orders for technicians

  • Answering customers questions regarding repairs being made

  • Completing manufacture warranty documentation

  • Arranging pickup and delivery of customer equipment

  • Completing customer and internal billing

  • Establishing and maintaining good shop housekeeping practices
